What we build

Pavers. Walls. Pools. Done right.

The architecture of the back of your home. Designed by Bryton, built by a hardscape-only crew that’s on this job — not three at once.

Paver Patios & Walkways

Why Mountain West

Specialists, not generalists.

Most landscape outfits do mowing, planting, and hardscape on the side. We don’t. Hardscape is the whole business — here’s what that means side-by-side.

Everyone else

Landscape outfits doing hardscape on the side.

  • No paver certification — learned on the job, mistakes included
  • Hardscape is one of ten services they sell
  • Code-minimum base — pavers heave in the first winter
  • Salesperson sells, sub-crew installs, no one owns it
  • Verbal ranges, “allowances,” change orders mid-build
  • Crew rotates between mow accounts, plant jobs, hardscape
Mountain West

Hardscape-only specialists.

  • ICPI paver-certified — the industry credential, not just a website badge
  • Hardscape only — this is the whole business, not a side gig
  • Engineered base for freeze-thaw, snow load, slope & drainage
  • Designed by Bryton — you meet him, he draws the plan
  • Written, line-item quote — no vague allowances
  • Hardscape-only crew — not borrowed from a mow team

What happens next

From first call to finished patio.

  1. 1

You tell us about the project.

Fill out the form below or call Bryton directly. Short conversation about what you're picturing, what the site looks like, and roughly what you're working with budget-wise.

  2. 2

    We meet on site.

Bryton walks your property, looks at slope, soil, drainage, and how the back of the house wants to live. No high-pressure pitch. If we're not a fit, we'll tell you.

  3. 3

You get a real plan and a written number.

Dimensioned drawing, materials called out, base prep and drainage specified, timeline laid out, written total. No vague allowances.

  4. 4

    We build it. Right.

Bryton oversees the install end-to-end. Clean jobsite. Daily updates if you want them. We don’t disappear at month three.

Common questions

Asked before. Answered straight.

How long does a hardscape project usually take?

Most full-backyard projects take 4–10 weeks on site once base prep and material lead times are factored in. Driveways and standalone patios are typically 2–4 weeks.

You’ll have a written schedule before we start, and Bryton oversees the install personally.

What does a Mountain West project cost?

Most projects fall between $50,000 and $200,000+. Full backyards with pool decks, walls, outdoor kitchens, and fire features typically land around $85,000.

We don’t quote on price alone — the bid reflects the base prep, materials, drainage, and engineering the site actually needs.

Are you licensed and insured in Utah?

Yes. ICPI paver-certified, fully insured. Utah contractor license number is provided with your written estimate.

Will Bryton be involved in my project?

Yes. Bryton is a working master craftsman, not a sales-and-handoff project manager. He walks your site, draws the plan, writes the quote, and oversees the install end-to-end.

The hands-on crew that builds it is trained, hardscape-only, and answers directly to him — not a rotating sub-crew.

Do you handle drainage, regrading, and snow-load engineering?

Yes. Wasatch and Park City sites have to be engineered for freeze-thaw, snow load, and runoff. We don’t install over inadequate base.

If your site needs drainage or regrading first, that gets engineered and quoted.

Do I have to be a designer to work with you?

No. Some clients come with their architect’s drawings. Most don’t.

We’ll help you figure out what the back of the house wants to be — and if you already have a designer, we work cleanly alongside them.
